Please bring the following:

  • original passport or a VFS certified photocopy only

  • HAP ID letter 

  • Applicants under 16 years require a guardian/family member

  • List of current medications, hospital discharge summaries, previous X-rays, blood tests, prescriptions and doctors' notes or letters

  • COVID vaccination certificate (optional)

Additional Information:

  • Eat & drink as normal before the examination. Take all medications as prescribed by your doctor.

  • As of July 2023: A blood test is required for all applicants aged 15 and above 

  • You must let us know if you are planning to work as a doctor, nurse or paramedic in Australia, or if you are planning to apply for a permanent residency visa in the future​

  • Pregnant applicants with a gestation of less than 14 weeks are not allowed to undergo the X-Ray component of the examination. A physician will discuss available options on the day of examination.

  • All completed medicals will be submitted directly to the Australian Department of Home Affairs (DHA) via the eMedical portal

  • If you would like the results of the medical to be used for another Australian visa application, you must inform your visa officer before attending the medical. Wahab Medical staff cannot assist you with this.
